ICFAI Business School (IBS)-Hyderabad is a constituent of the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), a Deemed University as per the UGC Act 1956. Established in 1985, IBS-Hyderabad is one of the top business schools in India. It has been ranked at #12 in the nation by Hindustan Times in a 2012 survey. The school has been re-accredited by SAQS (South Asian Quality Standards), rated A** by CRISIL, EB2 IN by ICRA and as an “Excellent” Business School by Eduniversal.

The major programs offered at IBS-Hyderabad are MBA being the flagship program, PhD and BBA. Ours is one of the largest MBA programs in Asia with a student intake of around 1100 this year. We have 60 students in our Ph.D. program and over 300 in the BBA. We have MoUs with fifteen institutions in USA, UK, Australia, and Malaysia, which enable our Ph.D. students engage in a 9-month visitor scholar program abroad. In addition to the full-time Ph.D. program, we have a part-time Ph.D. program that facilitates working executives achieve their doctoral aspirations.

Admission Process
The admission modalities for admission to MBA/PGPM and PhD programs are given below
IBSAT 2013
Candidates who wish to take admission to MBA/PGPM/PhD programs have to appear for IBSAT
IBSAT is an online aptitude test conducted by the ICFAI Foundation For Higher Education University (a deemed University as per UGC act 1956), for students seeking admission to the MBA/ PhD programs of IBS Hyderabad.
IBSAT is based on CBT (Computer Based Test) format and consists of multiple choice questions. IBSAT is for 2 hours duration and is aimed to test the applicant’s ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.

Candidates with GMAT® or CAT scores are exempted from IBSAT 2013. GMAT scores (from 2010 onwards) and CAT 2013 scores are accepted in place of IBSAT 2013.

Selection Process
Candidates who have qualified based on IBSAT 2013/ GMAT®/ CAT score are called for the selection process at IBS Hyderabad in February 2014. The selection process comprises of Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

Admission decision
The final selection is based on past academic record and performance of the candidates in Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

2 year Management Program
Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks; with medium of instruction as English.
Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium at undergraduation level have to submit the TOEFL / NELT / IELTS score by May 31, 2014. Applicants in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements including practical examinations / viva / assignments before May 31, 2014 and submit proof of graduation by November 01, 2014.
All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of regular education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis).
Applicants who have completed their graduation on one time sitting basis or on a 2 year basis are not eligible for the MBA / PGPM programs of IBS.

IBS has an impeccable track record of achieving excellent placements every year, with top companies visiting the campus to recruit its students.

IBS has adopted a very systematic approach towards building the careers of its students through a Career Management Center that plans and implements the placement activities throughout the year.
Career Management Center (CMC)
The Career Management Center operates under the overall guidance of a Dean who leads a team of Managers and executives.

CMC personnel visit more than a 1000 top companies across the country every year and have developed strong relationships with them. This interaction with the industry equips the career management team to provide suitable career planning to the students. It also helps to increase recruitments and maintain strong industry contacts.

There has also been a steady increase in the compensation and the number of companies recruiting from IBS every year.

The Summes Internship Program (SIP) and the Management Research Project combine academic inputs with practical training and offer industy-related, hands-on experience in various career opportunities. They also help[ students gain future employment contacts by networking with potential employers.

Strong Industry Interface
Industry interaction programs are organized by CMC with a cross-section of professional by CMC with a cross-section of prefessionals from various sectors and functional areas like financial services, marketing, human resource management, operations, information technology, etc. A range of professional development seminars are also organized with the industy, to facilitate regular job placements.

Placements – 2013
The placements for the Class of 2012 have been completed. More than 150 leading recruiters have participated in the campus placements. IBS students are trained to be well-rounded professionals, and the placement record is adequate testimony to the fact.
